HIDE THE REMOTE... Remember the days before remotes controlled TVs, radios, garage doors, and even windows? Pretend they haven't been invented and use your own muscles to do the work.
This might be a good tip but I have no clue how to change the channels without the remote. I know I can turn it off and on but I have never seen any other buttons.
You could always just turn the TV off and go outside. I am one who can work all day or evening when there are no children around with a movie on and have little contests with myself to see how much and how fast I can get things done during commercials.
