CULTIVATE A GARDEN. Planting, watering, pruning, and caring for a garden relieves stress, beautifies your home and increases your daily activity.
Okay, this is a good tip. Last week was the first weekend that we did not have frost and could plant. We planted just a few seeds. I have pumpkins and Calvin will take care of the tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers. Year before last we had a great garden and it was fun to see everything grow. Last year nothing seemed to grow and we were not sure we even wanted to try this year. We did though because it is a good exercise and it feels good to see that salsa and canned tomatoes as tomato sauce canned and in jars. We enjoyed them all winter. So even if you can't have a big garden or don't have the room try some container gardening. It does not have to be vegetables either. A nice planter of flowers on your back or front porch will bring a smile to your face each day as you are watering them.
